Dr. John Parker Dr. Parker is a professor and the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at West Virginia University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Parker has studied numerous individuals with pneumoconiosis caused by occupational exposure to asbestos, coal dust, and silica in the United States, Europe, Russia, India, and Brazil. Dr. Parker was the Chief of the Examination Processing Branch at the Division of Respiratory Disease Studies for NIOSH from July 1991 through August 1998. In this position, Dr. Parker provided oversight for the NIOSH Coal Workers' Respiratory Health Program as well as the NIOSH B-reader program and served the faculty for the American College of Radiology View-box Seminar on Pneumoconiosis.
Dr. T.K. Joshi Dr. Joshi is the Director of the Occupational and Environmental Program at the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health in Delhi, India. He was formerly at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine as a visiting research fellow at the Centre of Occupational Health. He is a fellow of Collegium Ramazzini and has been associated with several leading corporate organizations and trade unions. Dr. Joshi was also a visiting professor at Drexel University's School of Public Health in Philadelphia. Dr. Howard Ory Dr. Ory received his degree from the Tufts School of Medicine. He was Director of the Information Resource Management Office, Office of Program Support at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 1985 to 1993 and has been a consultant for Health Care Information Systems since 1996. He is a recipient of the prestigious United States Public Health Commendation Medal. Dr. Daniel Henry Dr. Henry is the Director of the Thoracic and Cardiac Radiology at the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Radiology. He is also a Consultant in Radiology at the McGuire Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He serves as Chairman on the American College of Radiology's Committee on Pneumoconiosis leading their efforts to advise and consult with NIOSH. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Thoracic Radiology. He is currently working as a contributing author to the new ILO guidelines. Dr. J.G. Vohra Dr. Vohra is the Regional Leader of WHO-Government of India sponsored program on Pulse Polio Immunization. Responsible for polio eradication activities in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He has coordinated efforts with global agencies like UNICEF, CORE, Rotary International, USAID and allied agencies. A Graduate Doctor from IGMC Shimla and Diplomate from the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, in Delhi, India. Dr. Vohra brings over 25 years of experience in public health related areas and the nuances of operating in constrained environments. Dr. David Weill Dr. Weill is currently serving an appointment as an Associate Professor, Division Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and the director of the Lung and Heart Lung Transplant Program at Stanford University. He received his MD from Tulane University in 1990. He is a certified B-reader and Transplant Physician, and is certified to practice Pulmonary and Internal Medicine. In 2004, he completed a Visiting Professorship at the National Institute of Occupational Medicine and Poison Control in Beijing, China. Christa Robertson, RN Ms. Robertson received her BSN from Columbia University. Her expertise is in women’s health, emergency medicine and infectious diseases. She worked as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner from 2000-2003. During 2004-2006 she worked two missions with the humanitarian relief organization Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres in the Sudan, once in the southern region of the Nuba Mountains and once in South Darfur. In addition, she has done medical work in Mexico and India; as well as on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations in Arizona. She is currently finishing her Masters in Nursing at the University of California-San Francisco School of Nursing where she is studying to be an Adult Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in HIV. Michael Marquis, Director of Development Michael Marquis holds a degree in Biomedical Engineer and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He currently works as an engineer and sales manager in London and the Southeast UK. In addition to his corporate life in Washington DC from 2005-2008 he was an active volunteer with DC Cares, working with several community organizations on projects ranging from project management to camping excursions. He also has interests in energy solutions in emerging economies and developing nations. He is currently working on further developing Work to Live's reach, corporate sponsorship, and conference effectiveness. Jonathan Zuk, Web Manager Jonathan Zuk is a web producer, content writer, and social media strategist who works primarily with small business and nonprofit organizations. Margaret Utgoff Margaret Utgoff started working in occupational lung disease research in 2004. She worked with radiologists, pulmonologists, and epidemiologists to create expert reports for litigation purposes. In 2006 she left Kirkland and started her own business: Visual Data Consultants, LLC. She has been working on the organization of epidemiological and radiological studies to assess the level of asbestos-related disease in populations within the United States. To complete these studies she used organizations in India to pull together data and present it as a cumulative assessment of disease incidence within groups of workers. She will organize doctors and staff in the United States and oversee operations in India to make sure that standards are met and money is being used effectively. Rajib Arjun Rajib Arjun is a Global Project Management professional and trusted adviser to executive suites on how to work with emerging economies. He has been a "growth catalyst" with outstanding leadership and negotiation skills. He provided more than a decade of leadership in leveraging talent pools in developing countries and is an active member of Rotary International.
